The babies were born at San Diego Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center at 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2015, and at 12:02 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2016, respectively.
SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Jaelyn and Luis Salgado were born just three minutes apart-- but in different years.
The fraternal twins were born at 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31 and 12:02 a.m. on Jan. 1, staffers of San Diego Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center told NBC San Diego.
It has not been confirmed, but the twins' birth times might mean Jaelyn was the last baby born in San Diego County in 2015 and Luis might be the first baby born in the county in 2016, said NBC San Diego.
Here in St. Louis, the first baby born in the new year was Taylann La-Chay Colvin, who entered this world at 12:18 Friday morning at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
